ALT (Assistant Language Teacher) of English
日本, 長野県, Yamanouchi Machi
I worked as the English teacher at 4 Elementary schools in rural Nagano, Japan. As one of the only foreign faces in the town I represented Americans and acted as the point-of-contact for students as well as members of the community with interest in the English language and foreign culture. On top of teaching at local schools, I also taught a weekly English conversational class to adults. I created many of my own lesson plans and handled classes as the head teacher for the majority of my time.
Intern - Videographer / Editor / Translator
Toyobijutsu Printing （東洋美術印刷）
日本, 東京都, Tokyo
I was hired as an intern at Toyobijutsu Printing with the purpose of assisting in editing and translating articles from their news branch so that foreigners in the area could read them on their Facebook page. I then began to work more independently creating video blogs about the city and what attracted me as a foreigner. Once my camera skills were realised by management I moved to creating content for their clients at their studio space as well as taking on run-and-gun video projects on the local community. Finally, I created documentary style content for use within the company.
State University of New York at Oneonta
Bachelor of Science 場所 Mass Communications w/ Production Concentration
I studied Mass Communications with a video production concentration at SUNY Oneonta. Beyond learning how to effectively communicate with other individuals, I was enabled to create my own creative video projects, documentaries, and learn to critique all works of mass media. This degree gave me a solid base of understanding of the world of TV, radio, film that we all consume on a daily basis. Furthermore, it launched me into a life in-touch with current trends of media and how to manipulate my own creations to catch public attention.
Chairman of Yearly Charity 5k Event
アメリカ合衆国, Glens Falls
I created, together with my family, a successful yearly 5k Run/Walk for charity that we have hosted locally for the past several years. We have been handing all proceeds to the Upstate New York Chapter of the ALS Association in memory of my father who passed away due to ALS. We are hoping to strike a total $100,000 this year!
