I am a 42 year old marketing professional with over 20 years of experience in merchandise retail and wholesale. For the last 11 years I have worked for Walmarts' South African division in various marketing management positions. My current sabbatical from the corporate sector is in order to complete the last four credits of my Bachelors degree which I will receive by December 2020.
My family and I currently reside in Thailand where my husband teaches English to primary school children and I home school our 15 year old son who is on the autism spectrum. We would like to spend a minimum of 12 months in Japan to get to know the people, customs and culture, starting in January 2021. I am hoping to secure work as an English language teacher during this time. My husband would then take over the homeschooling of our son. We are a stable, mature family unit seeking meaningful employment for a minimum of 12 months.
While I do not have experience teaching children, I have accumulated extensive experience training groups of adults on various marketing related subjects in groups of up to 30. For this I have developed the course material and structured the training independently as well as facilitated the classroom elements. I would love to work with children but I believe my experience might prove to add more value to teaching business English to adults. I am a highly organised, internally driven and energetic individual who is trustworthy and dependable.
Looking forward to a favorable response.
