The mythic group will make Zepp Divercity dance on June 22nd
Fans did not expect the news and some had already took their ticket for the Makuhari Messe Gorillaz Date when the news came: Gorillaz will premiere its new album The Now Now in Tokyo this week.
The virtual virtuose group created by Damon Albarn and the comic artist Jamie Hewlett is well known in Japan since their first single "Clint Eastwood"... no further proof need than the list of song available at Japanese karaokes! And Gorillaz loves Japan too, regarding the number of concert they have done in the country and the number of references they put in their songs (Noodle, at the guitar and the keyboard, is even Japanese) .
The recording of the sixth album of the British band began only last year, in 2017, during the tour of their previous album, Humanz. Even if this album registers less collaboration songs than the previous ones, Gorillaz partnered this time with Snoop Dogg and Jamie Principle for the song "Hollywood", George Benson for "Magic City" and "Humility" along with his long-time friend Remi Kabaka.
Finally, Tokyo will be blessed of two concerts, one in the gigantic venue of the Makuhari Messe on June 21st for the Humanz Tour and another at the Zepp Divercity Tokyo located in the south of Tokyo the next day.
Good news, some of the tickets are not sold out yet, you can purchase them here... and if you wish you were in Japan, check out our job offers and get your way to Japan.
