There are a lot of people right now struggling with where to find information about the coronavirus, who to call, and figuring out what hospitals they can go to that will accommodate languages other than Japanese. We’ve compiled a little something to help

Even on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website, there isn’t any information available for foreigners. There are a lot of people right now struggling with where to find information about the coronavirus, who to call, and figuring out what hospitals can they go to that will accommodate languages other than Japanese.

We’ve compiled a list, organized by prefecture, offering this information. The details will change depending on the region, so please make sure you check the region you’re living in. There are also phone numbers listed for those who’d like a phone consultation. We’ve collected as many URLs as we can that will take you directly to pages in languages other than Japanese, so please don’t hesitate to check the links.

Call Centers for Foreigners

The Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) has an emergency hotline available in multiple languages 365 days a year, 24 hours a day. They’re also taking inquiries about the novel coronavirus.
